What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework as a means to promote positive academic, social, and emotional health of students guided by the GDOE Board Policy 380 to create the K-12 Character Education Framework in accordance with the Guam Code Annotated (GCA) Title 17, Subsection 4121, Character Education.
The premise of the PBIS framework is to create a safe, effective and positive learning environment for every child by explicitly teaching school-wide behavioral expectations. Research has proven that schools are successful when they help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
